Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to and use of the website. Reading a page or submitting a search means that you accept them. Do not continue to use the site if you disagree with any condition.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no connection with a government body. It and its advertising partners do not offer a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its purpose is to route readers to Henrico County and Virginia record resources. It is neither a consumer reporting agency nor a private investigation firm.

1. What This Website Is

This is an independent private reference site. It does not hold official records, retrieve them on request, perform official checks, or submit forms for a visitor.

Its content identifies the Henrico Police and Sheriff channels, the courts, Virginia State Police repository, and Virginia Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry that maintain different parts of the public record. Some pages also connect to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, you agree not to:

  • Interfere with the site's operation or another visitor's access
  • Use any part of the site in violation of federal, state, or local law
  • Attempt unauthorized access to a system, account, or restricted area
  • Use data to stalk, threaten, or harass another person
  • Deploy a bot, scraper, or automated collection tool against these pages
  • Rely on site content for a decision governed by the FCRA

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No information found here or through a linked service may be used to stalk, intimidate, threaten, harass, or unlawfully discriminate. This is especially important for the Virginia Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry. Registry data supports lawful safety awareness and does not authorize confrontation or vigilante action. Misuse may violate Virginia law.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency and do not create consumer, credit, or background reports. Neither this site nor its advertising partners supplies a service designed for an FCRA-regulated decision. Information from these pages or a linked tool may not be used to:

  • Determine creditworthiness or insurance terms
  • Make a hiring or employment decision
  • Evaluate an application for housing
  • Decide eligibility for a permit, license, or government benefit
  • Carry out any other activity the FCRA regulates

When law requires an authorized check, use the proper Virginia State Police process or a service that complies with the FCRA for that purpose.

5. No Legal Advice

The material is general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how a Henrico County charge, warrant, conviction, expungement, or sealing rule applies to a specific person. A licensed Virginia attorney can advise on an individual matter.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are provided "as is." We make no guarantee that:

  • A partner's search result will be complete or correct
  • Every page will always be free of defects or security flaws
  • The site will remain available without interruption
  • Information will be accurate, complete, or current at all times

Charges, outcomes, access rules, fees, sealing, and expungement status can change. A gap or delay is possible. Only the office that maintains a record can give an official statement or copy.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to Henrico offices, court portals, Virginia agencies, legal resources, and independent search services. We do not operate those destinations and are not responsible for their availability, content, charges, or data practices. Their own terms apply.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Henrico County Criminal History or the applicable content partner. They may not be copied, changed, distributed, or adapted without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from use of the site, its information, or any linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, and proceedings caused by your use of the site or breach of these terms, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

Virginia law governs these terms. Any dispute connected with use of the site must be brought in a court located in Virginia. Public-record access itself remains governed by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and repository dissemination is subject to Virginia Code § 19.2-389.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised. A revised version becomes effective when it is published on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, with or without prior notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. The affected language will be limited only as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms may be submitted through the Contact page.
